Baikal Russian Santa Claus

The main fabulous person of the Russian New Year holidays has long been Santa Claus, Nikolai the Wonderworker became the great-image of Santa Claus. In other cultures, Russian Santa Claus has his fabulous brothers - Santa Claus, Per Noel, Segatsu-san.

The house of Santa Claus is a fabulous tower, made of wood. The base of the tower was usually laid wooden scrum made of coniferous wood.
That is why the main residence of Santa Claus on Lake Baikal was the Taltsy Museum of Wooden Architecture.

From November 23 to December 22, 2019, anyone can meet with Baikal Santa Claus, send him a letter, receive a gift.
Every Saturday and Sunday from 12 noon to 4 noon.

In the Tavern you can try Russian dishes and drinks.
If you don’t want to spend a lot of money on food in the museum’s cafe, you can freely take sandwiches, toast, tea in a thermos or other food for a snack and have free lunch in a picnic area.

You can get from Irkutsk to the Taltsy Museum on Lake Baikal by public bus going from the Irkutsk bus station to Listvyanka. You need to ask the driver to stop at the Taltsy Museum.
